Purpose
To understand that trees are a valuable natural resource, and without their survival, technology and life as we know it can change dramatically.
Background
Until the fifth grade, most students understand that trees are a natural resource and provide us with everything from paper toProperty which we live. The transfer to think about the concept of a realm of higher level is one of the most difficult challenges that are taught and the concept more difficult for children face learning. If you have a KWL to do with the students in the early years, all trees are equal, and there is no concept of how the mixture is cut into paper, wood for building or puree used solely for energy.
Over time they learned the fifth grade students is increasing interest and is difficult to find a methodon
hold their interest. For the children discover that more than 20,000 species of trees, attracts their attention. For teachers, there is plenty of room to expand and drive the curriculum and teaching in higher order thinking skills and knowledge.
This lesson presents the history of the trees, not only the nature of the trees. It explains why they must be saved to maintain the benefits humans, animals and our land. The students of the history of the plants and they must learnto land more than any other body. This lesson will have on the past use of our natural resources and how to us in saving trees, go to some of the basics for the things that we need to focus to survive into the next century.
Students will be introduced to the "Tree Doctor" and learn what they can do to help save the trees. This will also be noted that the professions are in the range of concentrateForests.
